The Light Right Consortium project is managed by Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), operated by Battelle for the US Department of Energy.

PNNL holds regular meetings of the Light Right Board of Directors and implements the project based upon the direction of the Board. The Board of Directors has membership categories to ensure diversity and balance of its members. Board Members provide sponsorship, in-kind services and guidance for the Consortium.

The membership categories are: Lighting Industry, Buildings Industry, Federal and State Government, Stakeholders, Professional Associations, and Utility.
